Connect your AI assistant
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant to your Kronos AI account and run it by chat: ask about your conversations, check how your AI agents are set up, send messages and WhatsApp templates, manage your agents, or place a call with one of them — in plain language, from the assistant you already use.
Claude, ChatGPT and apps on your computer, such as Claude Code, sign in with your Kronos AI account. You see exactly what the assistant will be able to do before you tap Authorize, and you can disconnect it at any time. Any other app connects with a key.
Before you start
- A Kronos AI account with its setup finished and an active plan.
- The AI Assistant section, where you connect, see and disconnect your assistants: Settings → General → AI Assistant, or Connect → Applications → AI Assistant.
- The connection address:
https://mcp.kronos.com.mx/v1. The AI Assistant section shows it too; a click copies it.
Connect Claude
Works on claude.ai and in the Claude apps.
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
- Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Kronos AI, paste the address
https://mcp.kronos.com.mx/v1and click Continue. - Claude shows the sign-in settings it detected. Click Continue, keep Sign in now and Use Claude's published identity (Recommended), and click Add.
- Your browser opens Kronos AI. Sign in if you are asked to, review what Claude will be able to do and tap Authorize.
- In a chat, open the + menu → Connectors and turn Kronos AI on.
If Claude shows the name, the address and Advanced settings on one screen, fill in the name and address and click Add, then continue with step 5.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector first in Organization settings → Connectors (Add → Custom → Web). Then each member opens Customize → Connectors, finds Kronos AI and clicks Connect.
Connect ChatGPT
ChatGPT adds custom MCP servers as plugins. Whether you can add one depends on your ChatGPT plan or workspace, and the menus change from time to time.
- Open Plugins in ChatGPT (
chatgpt.com/plugins), click the + button and choose Add custom MCP server. - Name it Kronos AI and, under Connection, enter the Server URL
https://mcp.kronos.com.mx/v1. - For authentication, choose OAuth.
- Review the warning, click I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin.
- Install the plugin. When ChatGPT opens Kronos AI, sign in if you are asked to and tap Authorize.
- In a chat, type @ and pick Kronos AI.
Connect Claude Code
Add the server from your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http kronos-ai https://mcp.kronos.com.mx/v1Then, inside Claude Code, run /mcp, choose kronos-ai and pick Authenticate. Your browser opens Kronos AI: sign in and tap Authorize.
Because Claude Code runs on your computer, the Kronos AI page tells you that an app on this computer is asking for access. Only continue if you started the connection yourself.
Other apps: connect with a key
Some apps cannot sign in: they take a server address plus a request header — automation tools such as n8n, your own scripts, some code editors. For them:
- Open Settings → General → AI Assistant → Connect assistant → Advanced setup.
- Click Generate key. The key appears inside a ready-to-paste config:
{
"mcpServers": {
"kronos-ai": {
"url": "https://mcp.kronos.com.mx/v1",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer kronos_sk_live_xxx" }
}
}
}- Click the config to copy it and paste it into your app.
Kronos AI shows the key only once. If you lose it, generate another: the earlier Advanced setup keys that were never used are revoked when you do. Keys that are in use stay active; you manage them in Settings → API Keys. Keys do not count toward the limit of 5 assistants.
What the assistant can do
A connected assistant can:
- Read your account, conversations, messages, templates and AI agents, including their prompts
- Send messages and WhatsApp templates to your contacts
- Create, edit, activate and assign your AI agents, and manage their knowledge and resources
- Place outbound calls with your AI agents (charged in credits per minute)
- Start connecting apps to your account
Every tool is described in the MCP reference.
Confirmations and credits
The assistant is told to confirm with you before it places a call, activates an agent or turns on its follow-ups, creates an agent already active, assigns an agent to an inbox or to conversations, or deletes a knowledge item or resource.
What runs your AI agents or places a call costs credits, the same as when you do it in Kronos AI: agent replies, follow-ups and call minutes. Reading your data does not, and neither does sending a message or a template through the assistant (Meta's own WhatsApp template pricing still applies). See AI Credits.
Up to 5 assistants
You can connect up to 5 assistants at the same time. Connecting a sixth one disconnects the one you haven't used the longest. The page where you tap Authorize tells you which one before you decide.
See and disconnect your assistants
The AI Assistant section (Settings → General → AI Assistant) lists every connected assistant and when it was last used. Disconnect cuts its access right away: its next request is refused, and to use it again you connect it again.
A connection that goes 60 days without use expires by itself; the assistant then asks you to sign in again.
Troubleshooting
- "This connection request expired or was already used." A sign-in request lasts 15 minutes and works once. Go back to your assistant and connect again.
- "Finish setting up your Kronos AI account first." Complete your account setup, then connect again.
- "Your Kronos AI plan isn't active." Reactivate your plan, then connect again.
- "This app can't connect to Kronos AI by signing in." Only Claude, ChatGPT and apps running on your own computer can connect by signing in. Connect the app with a key instead (see Other apps, above).
- "This app isn't registered correctly." Remove the connector from your assistant and add it again.
- "Too many attempts." Wait a minute and try again.
- The assistant asks you to sign in again. Its connection was disconnected (by you, or by connecting a sixth assistant) or it expired after 60 days without use. Connect it again.
