Meta Lead Ads to WhatsApp
Turn every new Facebook lead-form submission into a WhatsApp conversation. Kronos validates the phone, sends the approved welcome template you chose, and places the conversation in your inbox for the lead to reply.
Before you connect
- Admin access to the Facebook Page that owns the lead forms.
- A WhatsApp Business inbox already connected to Kronos.
- An approved template that belongs to that WhatsApp inbox.
- A template with supported, consecutive body variables such as {{1}}, {{2}}, and {{3}}.
For every template variable, add what the AI should use and a representative example. Examples guide meaning and format; they are never treated as a lead's real answer.
Connect a Facebook Page
- 1
Open Applications
In Kronos, go to Connect and choose the Applications tab.
- 2
Choose Meta Lead Ads
Open the Meta Lead Ads card and sign in with an account that manages the Page.
- 3
Select the Facebook Page
Choose the Page whose lead forms should send new contacts into WhatsApp.
- 4
Configure the forms
Kronos opens the connection under Already connected, where every form can be mapped independently.
Configure each lead form
Choose an inbox
Pick the WhatsApp Business inbox that will send this form's first message.
Choose a template
Select an approved template from that inbox. Unsupported templates stay visible but disabled.
Define variables
For every variable, tell the AI what to use and add an example. The preview shows examples only.
Turn Active on
Only active, fully configured forms send messages when a new lead arrives.
Each form has one destination inbox and one welcome template. Other forms on the Page can stay inactive.
Which AI agent fills the variables
Your own agent writes them
When the template has variables, your AI agent turns each lead's answers into their values — with its tools available, so it can check knowledge or availability while writing.
Picked for you, or by you
Automatic uses the agent assigned to that inbox, then any other inbox's agent. Or choose one explicitly per form. No agent at all blocks activation until you create one.
If the agent or its provider fails, Kronos steps down — the agent without tools, then a fallback model, then a direct field match — so the lead always gets its message.
Phone numbers without a country code
Add a default code
Choose the country where these leads normally live. Kronos adds that code before validating a local number.
Discard the lead
Do not send when the international code is missing. No WhatsApp message is created for that submission.
This policy applies to every form on the connected Page. Kronos never silently guesses a country.
Test before activating
Use a phone you control
Keep the form inactive, select Start test, then choose the country and number. Kronos submits the test lead to Meta for you — no manual step — and sends the message only to the number you selected. The window closes after the first webhook. Creating the lead needs an Advertiser role or above on the Page.
Disconnect without affecting sibling channels
Disconnecting Meta Lead Ads removes the local Page connection, routing rules, and stored Page credential. Later lead submissions become clean no-ops. Kronos does not revoke the shared Facebook Page app grant or remove the Page app subscription, because those upstream assets may also power Messenger or Instagram.
Your sibling Messenger and Instagram channels, WhatsApp inbox, and existing conversations remain connected.
Frequently asked questions
Why did a new lead not receive a message?
Confirm that the form is active, its WhatsApp inbox is connected, and its template is still approved. If the submitted phone had no country code, also check whether your policy discarded it.
Why is a template disabled?
The template has unsupported header, button, or named variables, or its numbered body variables are not consecutive. Select an approved template that uses {{1}}, {{2}}, and so on without gaps.
What if the form does not contain a value needed by the template?
The example is only a guide and is never copied as lead data. If Kronos cannot support a required variable from the real form answers, it does not send the message.
Does the first template open the 24-hour service window?
No. The normal WhatsApp service window starts after the lead replies. Until then, additional business-initiated messages still require an approved template.
Can one form send from several WhatsApp inboxes?
No. Each form has one destination inbox and one welcome template, preventing duplicate outreach to the same lead.
What happens when Meta accepted a message but Kronos cannot confirm the result?
Kronos does not resend that request automatically. The event is held for manual review and an operator is alerted, which avoids contacting the same lead twice while the delivery result is uncertain.
